Tom Heintjes has a background in mechanical engineering and business administration and has been working in the industrial sector for over 30 years. During the first ten years of his career, he worked for HBG, Vermeer Industrial Contracting and Stork Industry Services.
“At Stork, I had the opportunity to work within the Fokker Aerospace Group for a few years, after which I opted for self-employment in 2007. In that capacity, I worked as a consultant or CEO for various manufacturing companies and for firms active in technical services and (machine) engineering. In recent years, the core of my assignments has been to restructure companies that have fallen on hard times from a CEO/CRO role, with the aim of creating a new perspective. “
In his assignments, Tom emphasises themes such as sustainability, talent development and diversity wherever possible; nor does he shy away from continuing to learn himself. In recent years, he has taken various courses focusing on negotiation, risk management, organisational development and business succession.
