Kim Coster

Associate - Interim Management

Kim Koster (1X1)

Kim is an experienced transformation and turnaround leader with a background in corporate, private equity and entrepreneurial environments. She studied Tax Law at the University of Amsterdam and also completed a Chartered Accountant (CA) programme at VU University Amsterdam.

She has held roles as CEO, CFO and co-founder, guiding organisations through growth, restructuring, crisis and exit processes. As CEO and co-founder of Sailmon, she scaled the business internationally and led its sale to North Technology Group.

Kim is at her best in situations where clarity is clouded and where strategy, cash flow, leadership and operations are all under pressure simultaneously. She brings calm, perspective and the ability to get things done, with an eye for both the company’s interests and the people who must drive the change.

Her strength lies in combining financial acumen, operational discipline and people-centred leadership. She moves easily between shareholders, banks, the board, management teams and the operational side, and knows how to distil complex situations down to clear priorities, decision-making and execution.

“I feel a strong connection to entrepreneurial family businesses and companies in the maritime, technology and food sectors. It is precisely where much has been built up, but direction, structure or trust are under pressure, that I help organisations to regain control, alignment and a vision for the future from within.”

Her style is sharp, energetic and people-focused: results-oriented, yet always respectful of the company’s history and the context in which change is taking place.
