In the media world, perhaps the most obvious shift towards the digital domain is taking place. Many business models have changed and continue to change and are increasingly based on digital content and platforms. For the modern thinking entrepreneur in the printing world, digitalisation also offers opportunities beyond strategy and business model for things like: automated order processing, order collection, personalised applications.

Is there still a living for medium-sized printers who cannot achieve sufficient economies of scale? Yes indeed there is: the answer is modern commerce. Not the traditional salesman who gives high discounts on added value, but true commerce where the (digital) customer is central. Also important is customer intimacy at the highest level and a committed management that stands for the company.
