Operational / Project Management

Integrating and realising the right people in the right positions without interference

In times of change, directors and managers spend a lot of time on issues outside their normal field of work. This creates a shortage of (project) management capacity and slows down implementation. What you need at this stage is an interim professional who can bring structure, pace and clarity.

When to deploy this role

After an acquisition or carve-out, when synergy realisation is lagging behind, when projects overlap without clear priorities, or when Sales, Operations and Supply Chain (S&OP) need to run smoothly. This role also provides temporary execution power during professionalisation (new reporting, ERP changes, new management model).

What you can expect from the interim professional

The interim integration or execution lead organises the management of the change (governance, roles, decision-making) and draws up a clear roadmap with milestones. He/she ensures that projects and business-as-usual can run side by side, with a working rhythm of progress and decision-making. Think of a 100-day synergy overview, a portfolio board for projects and an S&OP rhythm that delivers predictably. This way, the team knows what needs to be done, when it will be ready and who is responsible for what.

Results for the organisation

Overview and direction are restored, ad hoc escalations decrease and decisions are made more quickly. Finance, operations and sales look at the same reality, making the change sustainable, even after the interim phase.

Our role (Kruger)

We provide the right interim professional within 48 hours from a network we have built up through years of collaboration. We translate your context (PE, transition, DGA, special management and family businesses) into a clear profile, assess relevant experience and behaviour, and organise a transparent selection and start-up process. During the assignment, we remain an accessible point of contact and monitor whether the deployment is proceeding as expected.

Our approach during a process

  • T-0–48 uur – Intake & profile
Together, we determine what is needed now and establish a clear profile (goal, scope, preconditions, stakeholders) that you can share immediately.
  • T-48 uur – Shortlist & coordination
You will receive a shortlist (preferably two profiles) with role descriptions, relevant experience and availability. We will discuss the fit, organise interviews and request references where desired.
  • T-±5 working days – Start & rhyme
Once selected and approved, the interim professional will commence their assignment. During the first week, we will establish the basic consultation rhythm and develop a time-bound plan (e.g. 30/60/90-day route) that suits your phase.
  • Progress & assurance
The interim professional delivers according to plan; we remain available as a sounding board. The aim is to establish a working rhythm that continues in line with your organisation, so that you can continue without an interim professional.
