Crisis management

Intervention and implementation of ‘quick wins’ and a plan of action

Objective: short-term recovery and future success. Our interim CEO & CRO restores calm, cash flow and control to the business. This can be done in conjunction with the work of our consultants or completely independently, depending on what will yield the fastest results in your situation. We combine board-level management with hands-on implementation.

Quick wins (first few weeks)

The first phase is all about visible progress and trust. The interim CEO / CRO focuses on liquidity, maintains a strict decision-making rhythm, quickly addresses the most important bottlenecks and manages the key stakeholders. This involves a series of targeted measures that have an immediate impact on cash flow and overview, without overburdening the organisation. These short-term actions are an integral part of the recovery plan.

Recovery plan (within a few weeks)

  • What needs to be done? Clear actions with priority and coherence;
  • When will it be ready? Milestones in a 30/60/90-day roadmap;
  • Who is responsible? One owner per action and clear division of roles;
  • What preconditions are necessary? Decision points, capacity, resources and frameworks;
  • How will progress be monitored? Appropriate reporting and consultation frequency, with room for scenarios.

Implementation & assurance

The first improvements are already implemented during the drafting of the plan, so that results become visible while the direction is being set. Once approved, strict implementation follows: clear priorities, frequent progress discussions and consistent coordination with financiers and other stakeholders. Ultimately, the new management rhythm is embedded in the line organisation, so that the improvements continue to work after the interim phase. The interim manager stays as long as necessary, no longer.

“Schedule an exploratory meeting (15 minutes)”

Our approach during a process

  • T-0–48 uur – Intake & profile
    Together, we determine what is needed now and establish a clear profile (goal, scope, preconditions, stakeholders) that you can share immediately.
  • T-48 uur – Shortlist & coordination
    You will receive a shortlist (preferably two profiles) with role descriptions, relevant experience and availability. We will discuss the fit, organise interviews and request references where desired.
  • T-±5 working days – Start & rhyme
    Once selected and approved, the interim professional will commence their assignment. During the first week, we will establish the basic consultation rhythm and develop a time-bound plan (e.g. 30/60/90-day route) that suits your phase.
  • Progress & assurance
    The interim professional delivers according to plan; we remain available as a sounding board. The aim is to establish a working rhythm that continues in line with your organisation, so that you can continue without an interim professional.
